    Le procédé au cumène, ou procédé au cumènephénol, ou encore procédé Hock, est un procédé industriel de production de phénol C 6 H 5 OH et d'acétone CH 3 COCH 3 à partir du benzène C 6 H 6 et du propylène CH 3 –CH=CH a été découvert en 1944 par Heinrich Hock [1] et peutêtre de façon indépendante dès 1942 par R. Ūdris et P. Sergeyev en URSS [2].
